Participants of this historical moment were American Jews, whose contributions have been repeatedly praised by well-known African-American leaders and historians too. Based on the sources, which include personal records, interviews and texts of public speeches along with historical facts, the article outlines the main goals and aspirations that led American Jews to engage in the Civil Rights Movement.
