The paper examines the essence and significance of the freedom of assembly, the historical development of this right, and its “Georgian tradition.” It focuses on the relationship between the freedom of assembly and other fundamental rights and provides a comparative analysis of the constitutional formulation of this right in Georgia and in other jurisdictions. The study offers a detailed overview of the scope of protectionof the freedom of assembly as a fundamental right, as well as the domestic and international standards governing its regulation.
