According to the sectoral characteristics of higher education of the specified university program, since 2018, a grouping of students according to initial language competencies has been determined. In particular, students in the first semester are grouped into modules of different intensity in order to continue their studies on equal ground in the second semester. The sectoral characteristics of higher education also determine areas of competence, including language competences: writing, reading, listening, speaking, as well as intercultural competences. It is worth noting that the objecttive of the program, along with teaching the state language, is also the integration of students that is a crucial issue. In the sectoral characteristics of the university program, it is noted that students must be able to “get acquainted, appreciate and respect the Georgian linguistic and cultural identity and values.” In the university programs of Georgian language teaching, a lot of attention is paid to language teaching in four components: writing, reading, listening and speaking, as well as integrated language and subject teaching for mastering the sectoral language, teaching tolerance and diversity, however integration issues are considered to a lesser extent that would help young people to be aware of the Georgian linguistic and cultural environment, as well as to acquire vocabulary based on practical needs, etc. The European experience of teaching a second language is familiar with integrative methods of teaching in several areas, including teaching a brief history of the country, important practical elements, etc. It is advisable to draw attention to the topic: “Let's Live in Georgia” in the university program of Georgian language teaching, which will teach students facts about Georgia, as well as vocabulary related to public and private services, and relevant language structures in accordance with the simulation and situational teaching method.geმეორე ენის სწავლებაქართული, როგორც მეორე ენაინტეგრაციაsecond language teachingGeorgian as a second languageintegrationქართულ ენაში მომზადების საუნივერსიტეტო პროგრამა და ინტეგრაციის საკითხი/ Georgian Language Teaching into the University Program and IntegrationGeorgian Language Teaching into the University Program and IntegrationThesis
