The letter preserves very important information about interests of German Empire in whole Caucasus and Georgia in general. Actually, German Empire was interested in following: Caucasian resources and creation of strong Georgian army. According to Ludendorff’s point of view, Georgia was reckoned to be as a center of anti-Slavic movement and around her whole North and South Caucasus were have to be united. The first step towards that direction must have been the official acknowledgement of newly emerged Georgian state and soon after, that to sign bilateral treaty with Georgia alone.
