Abstract:
In the 17th-18th cc. Tbilisi mint produced the coins of the Persian
pattern. Three ruling dynasties left their names on these silver coins: the
Safavids, Afsharids and Zands.
Coinage during the Afsharid dynasty was the subject of active research,
which is not still completed. Here we introduce new shahi (shauri),
¼ abbasi, of Nadir Shah struck at Tbilisi in 1556 AH. (1743).
