Abstract:
The last decade of the XX century was full of conflicts and controversies. The United
States, as the main acting superpower state, had the goal to achieve the world peace.
In the paper are pointed out some essential issues on the theme, such as: what does neoconservatism
mean? What are the main characteristics of Neocons? What is the main
difference between conservatism and neoconservatism? What is a paradigm of neoconian
influence on States’ foreign policy?
I discuss the features of neoconservatism and especially the influence of
neoconservatism on the US foreign policy. The topic mostly focuses on researches of
“Godfather” of neo-conservatism Irving Kristol: Neoconservatism: The Autobiography of
an Idea, and The Neoconservative Persuasion.
The topic shows main problems in the US foreign policy and clarifies how
neoconservative ideas shaped the US foreign policy and the whole world. Protection of
national interests and neutralisation of world government’s interests is of the highest
priority for neocons. The idea of the world government contains threats, but I suppose that
Relationships between countries without supranational organ of government leaves them in the
same condition of state of nature, as human beings- without state.
