Abstract

In the 21st century BC, the Trialeti Culture of Brilliant Kurgans as the new socio-cultural unit appeared in the South Caucasian region. It is remarkable that the mentioned Middle Bronze Age culture was characterized by an essential change as in trading-economic and social fields and establishing of new vectors and interests of international connections, as well in the cultural sphere. These changes were demonstrated by the numerous advances of material culture and several different aspects of life. Besides various peculiarities, one of the most characteristic features of the Trialeti culture is an unbelievably high level of achievements of the goldsmithery. This field of high artistic craft is widely represented by the numerous items of jewellery and toreutics. Currently, we would like to present the paper devoted to one – the agate pendant.
