Abstract:
The paper deals with the issues of vassalage in the High Feudal epoch of
Georgia, and how we understand the seigneurial system, and that kind of
parallels are between the Georgian vassalage and the Western European
feudalism, namely with the X-XI cc. Europe during "the Feudal Revolution".
We share the conclusion that feudalism is the universal event and we see the
same signs in Georgia, which is similar to French Feudalism. According to the
specific historical source we have raised the question - If was in Georgia such a
vassalage system that was formulated as follows: "vassal of my vassal is not my
vassal". Article has no purpose for making any assumptions and serves for the
raising the problem.
