Abstract:
In about 980-981, after solutions in the Western Georgia, king Bagrat
III decided to solve the problems in Shida Kartli (Eastern Georgia). The Tbeli
family opposed him strongly having on mind establishment of their special
status in Shida Kartli. They were thought to have tried not to let the king into
the Eastern Georgia, but were defeated. The article supports the idea that king
himself attacked the Tbeli family in their domains.
