Abstract:
This article critically examines the logical and semantic terminology elaborated by Dionysios Thrax in his Grammar that was established in the traditional Georgian grammar textbooks for schools. This article also discusses the main principles of qualifying grammatical issues. To be more precise, while qualifying the grammatical events the fields of logic and grammar should be separated from each other: grammatical categories should be defined on the basis of the morpho-syntactic analysis resulting in (will be determined) the rule of semantic marking in morphology; also, it will be found out whether different universal semantic categories are marked grammatically (morphologically) in a specific language.
