Abstract:
In the article, on the basis of numerous sources, the author tries to answer the following
questions: what was the Trump administration policy on women issues by the 2019,
specifi cally, why most of American women were unhappy with his arrival to power, why the politics of Tramp administration was considered as anti-woman policy, why the question
of Gender equality has become relevant and what were its results.
The author underlines the similarity of the outcome of the anti-woman politics of
Trump and Reagan administrations, specifi cally, the rise of the women movement. As
a consequence of the growth of that movement, a record number of women-democrats
participated and defeated their opponents in the midterm elections in 2018.
At the same time, the author does not agree completely with the opponents of Trump
that his administration did nothing on the matter. His policy on women issues was forked.
His words and deeds did not coincide. For Trump women’ economic rights were more
important than political ones.
According to the author, a new wave of American women movement began in the
United States, which may end with the rise of their rights and real equality. The basis of
such an opinion is the history of the States, when each historical or economic cataclysm
and especially anti-woman policy leads to the expansion of the women’ rights.
