Abstract
This study presents the results of the analysis of advanced scientific researches related to the issues of
actualization of the new industrial policy. The study systematizes the theoretical and methodological
approaches to the new industrial policy; discusses the tools of the UN Industrial Development
Organization EQuIP methodology; analyzes the prospects for industrial policy taking into account the
consequences of the Covid-19 pandemic; conducts a diagnosis of Georgia's industrial policy; studies
the expectations of the development of the digital economy in the context of economic policy;
identifies Industry 4.0 and the challenges of adapting to new technologies; examines the issues of
gender inequality in industry using the example of Georgia; summarizes the main tasks of the EU
industrial policy in the process of forming a new world order; formulates political and economic views
for the development of Georgia's energy security and green energy.
