Abstract

Bullying is one of the biggest challenges worldwide and every country chooses different strategies to solve the problem. Policy and legislative documents to combat bullying in schools are based on theories of educational psychology and sociological research. The document reviews the experiences of countries that have significantly reduced the incidents of bullying at school, those countries are Austria; the United States of America; Belgium; the United Kingdom; Estonia; Canada; Cyprus; Lithuania; Norway; Portugal; Romania; Slovenia; Hungary; Finland; Sweden and Holland.
