| dc.description.abstract | Europe is often viewed as an ideal phenomenon that combines a common to all mankind worldview with universal cultural values. However, Europe as a unity of real values and wealth is the basis for separate observation and analysis. Herewith, the perception of Europe as an idea and Georgian-European ties are mainly marked by one-sided relations. The symbolic and allegorical understanding of Georgia as a bridge connecting Europe and Asia, the West and the East, has been repeatedly developed in Georgian culture and literature. On the other hand, the role of Georgia in the context of relations between the West and the East is important from the cultural context, since Georgian culture is read from the perspective of a synthesis of the West and the East. Europe as freedom, Europe as survival, sacralised Europe and Georgian perspectives are represented in the literary texts of Georgian authors, including migrant literature. In the report, we will discuss the peculiarities of the reflection of Europe as a face and symbol in the literary texts of modern authors. | en_US |
