| dc.description.abstract | Article deals with the issue of localization of Sveti fortress, which according to the historical sources was constructed near the Tbeti cathedral. On the top of the mount, near the Tbeti cathedral, remnants of the fortress is visible, the term “Sveti” is forgotten among the local folks. Hypotethically we can assume that the remnants of the fortress observed by the members of the expedition from Tbilisi State University (by the project “The Georgian Fortresses of Tao-Klarjeti”) are to be considered as Sveti fortress constructed in the 11th century. Hopefully, the future archaeological expedition will confirm this fact. | en_US |
