| dc.description.abstract | Literary translation plays an important role in the development of both national and world literary processes. Therefore, the development of scientifi c research related to these processes is also very important. Translatology, as a science of translation, studies the processes of modern translation relations in the context of multi-methodological concepts. This concept is also a topic of interest of Literary Comparative Studies. French culturologists M. Espagne and M. Werner developed the term cultural transfer, for which the transnational concept is a cultural zone. The problems of translation contacts and reception of foreign culture are studied from this angle. According to this methodology, the focus is on transfer agents in the process of intercultural exchange. These are the people through whose eff orts the knowledge about one culture is transferred and disseminated in the semiotic space of another culture. Agents include translators and other persons who can act as intermediaries. They are also called “mediators” in the Study of Literary Relations. According to the accepted opinion in the scientifi c literature, the theory of cultural transfer focuses on the study of the “three forces”. These are events/processes, literary openness, and how receiver cultures prepare the ground for an impact or a new reading of a transmitted text. | en_US |
