Climate change is one of the biggest challenges facing the global economy today. Climate risks affect macroeconomic factors through supply and demand shocks. It is a source of financial risks and poses significant financial risks to households, businesses, and financial institutions. Consequently, climate change creates new challenges to the design and implementation of monetary policy. It may also affect and weaken monetary policy transmission channels. However, studies to assess the impact of climate change on monetary policy are still lacking, and more in-depth analyses are needed.en_US
