Since January 2020, it has become mandatory in Georgia to prepare regulatory impact assessment (RIA) on a number of government-initiated bills. The launch of RIA in Georgia coincided with the start of pandemic in the world. Hence, the impact assessment system faced real challenges. In order the decisions of the government to be relevant to the needs of the population and to aim for long-term social well-being, the policy-making process requires the integration of impact assessments into the process and the effective implementation of RIA system with the involvement of stakeholders.en_US
