| dc.description.abstract | The main context of the presented paper is understanding of the specifics of the phenomenon of the becoming of human beings and change of orientation in the project of enlightenment and the analysis of the spiritual situation, the challenges of the modern human condition. A comparative analysis of the following concepts was performed: Martin Heidegger “Ontological difference”, “tradition” in Hans-Georg Gadamer’s hermeneutical theory, Mircea Eliade’s concept of hierophanies and Jurgen Habermas’s “Post Secular Society”. The background of the current millennium can be characterized as the voluntary self-modelling of human nature in the perspective of post-humanism. The human rights paradigm is changing. The fundamental difference between the human world, the animal world, and the natural world is blurred. This is where the role of the Orthodox monastery comes into play. The monastery preserves the original traditions of human existence. According to Mircea Eliade, in the future, great importance will be attached to the centres of strong religious energy. For example, Tibet in the Eastern world, and in the Western world- orthodox monasteries and the so-called “Cosmic Christianity”, which play the role of medium between the liturgical dimension and the folk faith. Anthim the Iberian founded 20 monasteries in Romania and typographic industry in the post-Byzantine world. The philosophical-theological heritage of Anthim the Iberian throws new light onto Georgian theological and philosophical thinking. Owing to him, Georgian theological thinking is involved in the historical and thinking area of Europe. His activities and works are significant moments of Georgian theological and philosophical thinking development, a successful dialogue between cultures. Translations of his works from Romanian into English and Georgian are of great importance for interdisciplinary research, which is implemented within the project: “Anthim the Iberian: A part of European Space of Thinking” with the support of the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia. | en_US |
