On the need for a properly approved minimum wage in Georgia

Abstract

In the legislative framework, the issue of establishing the minimum wage and issues of its regulation occupies one of the central places in economical development of the country. This is the main topic of this scientific article. Such issues as: the essence of the minimum wage, the purpose and approaches to them, a brief overview of their implementation and regulation in various countries- are reviewed in the article. An analysis of the state of affairs in this area in Georgia is also given here. At the end of the work, the author’s arguments are offered regarding the approval of the established minimum wage in Georgia.
