| dc.description.abstract | In recent years, taking into consideration political expediency (Abkhazian theme) and public interest, of Akaki Tsereteli’s literary heritage his poem Gamzrdeli (the Tutor) has established itself as highly rated in the conventional ranked list of the writer’s works (primarily with a reader’s eye). The interest in this poem is expressed felt in social network. However, some readers are more fascinated in the actual reality of the plot than artistic value of the text, and in order to satisfy their own curiosity, they deepen their knowledge in this direction. In any case, their attempt serves to better familiarization with the poem and its popularization. Although it should also be noted that in a work of fiction, the tendency to bring to the fore the true story can to some extent harm the artistic value of the literary text and neglect those universal problems that are shown in this poem. The goal of our study is to display the high artistic level of the work and an attempt to make the reader see the hidden controversy beyond the everyday problems posed in the poem, the existence of which ranks this poem among the best works of classic literature. The reader will probably be interested in what kind of hidden enmity we are talking about. I think that the main motif of the work, which gives rise to the hostility between Batu and Sapar-Beg, is just a preparatory work for demonstration of the deeply hidden conflict caused by the ideological confrontation between Batu and Haji-Iusub. During the discussion, I will rely on the method of comparative analysis of literary texts (Akaki Tsereteli's "Gamzrdeli" and Ilia Chavchavadze "Gandegili"), that helps me to gain an insight into character of the main protagonists and understand the main idea of the work. I would like to remind the reader that the Georgian critics noticed the similarity between these two works from the very beginning. | en_US |
