| dc.description.abstract | In the article, for the first time, are published the documents, preserved in the archives of the Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University and The Central Historical Archive of Georgia, on the grounds of which a previously unknown fact in the history of Georgian diplomacy is established. In particular, in 1919, the head of the diplomatic mission of the Democratic Republic of Georgia in Greece was Alexander Mdivani. , Alexander Mdivani held a high position In the government of the Democratic Republic of Georgia, as the representative of the Socialist-Federalist Party– the post of Deputy Minister of Education. After the occupation of Georgia by Russia, he declared his loyalty to the Soviet government; however, he could not escape the repressions. He was arrested and exiled for several years. Since 1945, he had been engaged in long-term pedagogical activities at Tbilisi State University. | |
