Cultural tourism is and will remain one of the most important segments of Georgia's tourism market in the future. The diverse range of cultural phenomena, especially the unparalleled patterns of tangible and intangible heritage that draw tourists, are in fact the main basis for tourist attraction. In addition, in order to develop an effective policy it is vital to have more information about cultural tourists, especially their travel motives and needs. This, in turn, requires more detailed research closely in connection with the country's tourism policy goals.Item Current issues about overcoming unemployment in Georgia(Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University Press, 2018) Kistauri, Levan; Damenia, NinoThe article researches unemployment problem as one of the indicator of the country's economic status. Based on the statistical data, unemployment and employment levels, along with the percentage of economically active population is estimated according to years. There is explained that the labor market in Georgia is less developed and it is necessary to create such institutions and mechanisms that will ultimately endeavor to provide private sector with qualified work force and at the same time will reduce the rate of unemployment. It is noted that the development of the labor market is highly dependent on the higher and vocational education systems, and it is therefore essential that the academic institutions focus on the training courses and specialties in consideration of the labor market demand. It is reasonable to establish a legal base to form such labor regulatory body that will have right to incur penalty and inspect an enterprise even without owning a special permit, as the violation of labor code is very frequent. As a conclusion, state formulated essential procedures for solving this problem: Creation / perfection of legal basis, implementation of international standards for workplace safety in Georgia, development of employment promotion services, assistance for employment of job seekers, Institutionalization of labor market research and creation / development of the labor market information system, support for the development of professional learning systems based on the needs of the labor market, regulation and management of labor migration, strengthening the Social Partnership Institute, Strengthening communication and raising awareness.Item Some economic aspects of risk detection in the agricultural sector(Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University Press, 2022) Damenia, NinoFor Georgia, as a country with a developing economy, the development of the agricultural sector is strategically important. Which, in turn, is associated with various types of risks. Analysis of decision-making under conditions of risk and uncertainty provides an opportunity to better understand the economic environment and make optimal choices. An in-depth analysis of the issue makes it possible to make the best decision from the available alternatives. Risk is related to expected losses, and in order to minimize it, the entrepreneur/farmer must be able to predict expected risks, determine the consequences of a greater magnitude and adjust the risk. In the conditions of changing economic environment, the threat of risk in agricultural business is increasing even more. Detection of expected risks, analysis and development of effective management mechanisms is an important challenge of the agricultural sector.
