Abstract
The COVID-19 pandemic is a historic and unprecedented event for the world in terms of the development
of the global crisis.The COVID-19 pandemic has severely damaged the world economy and global business,
including Georgia's trading partners such as the European Union, Azerbaijan, Turkey, China, Russia, Ukraine, and
others. The economic crisis and damage caused by the COVID-19 pandemic (the amount of losses and costs are
currently underestimated and unaccounted for),both in the global economy and in Georgia, economic activity has
slowed sharply and the positive results of recent years have been minimized. At the same time, Georgia's weakened
external demand and the ensuing pandemic shock have limited the scope of the service sector, foreign direct
investment and net exports at the local level.
Despite the global economic crisis, the challenges and difficulties posed by the pandemic may turned into
real opportunities and accelerated development through proper management of market failures. Countries have
given the opportunity to become the first performers of new opportunities in terms of doing business and
reformers in terms of modernizing the current economic situation, while focusing on previously neglected issues.
At the same time, Georgia's weakened external demand and the ensuing pandemic shock have limited the
scope of the service sector, foreign direct investment and net exports at the local level.
Countries that, like Georgia, are struggling to gain a foothold in the global supply chain will also have to
compete fiercely with developed countries. While this trend may not apply to all industries equally,
At the same time, the global pandemic of COVID-19 has made it clear that the modern world has closely
interconnected and integrated, which means that the world's problems need a global solution and effective
management, But markets such as Georgia need to do more to develop their potential advantages by developing
high-potential industries and segments above and to integrate effectively into the global call logistics chain.
