Abstract

The documents are kept at Ankara Tapu and Kadaster Archive, №324. Defter regarding the villages of Shavsheti, Imerkhevi and Machakhela is interesting in terms of the socio-economic history of the region. The sources reflect the names of some unknown villages and the taxes they were imposed. They also provide the terms used in the Ottoman Empire during Feudalism.
