Abstract
Innovation is increasingly important as a tool for overcoming economic crises, sustainable development
and maintaining the viability of the firm through which society strives to organize its economy.
One of the main components of the innovative economy is undoubtedly the digital economy
and the firm operating in it.
The article discusses the essence of digitization of the economy, driving forces and diverse
risks. The article also analyzes what is being done in this direction in Georgia, what kind of problems
exist and what are the ways to solve them.
