Abstract
Allen Ginsberg, is visionary poet and founding father of the Beat generation inspired the American counterculture of the second half of the 20th century. His first came to public attention in 1956 with the publication of Howl and Oher Poems. “Howl,” a long-lined poem in the tradition of Ezra Pound, is an outcry of rage and despair against a destructive, abusive society. In this article are pointed out some assential issues on the theme, such as : What is main function of Beat Generation? What similarities are between Allen Ginsberg's and Ezra Pound's poetry. What is Usura ? What parallels are between Moloch and Usura? I discuss the literary assotiations between "Canto XLV" and "Howl." The topic mostly focuses on similarities of Usura and Moloch. Both authors try to show america's problems and they used different symbols . In Canto XLV this symbol is Usura and in the “Howl” it is Moloch. But, Ezra Pound was first poet who create this literary metaphor. So, we could think that Allen Ginsberg used same character.
