Abstract
Linguistic (mainly lexical) internationalization occupies a definite, leading place in the study of interlinguistic relations and the specifi c processes together with the events closely associated with them. When we observe the international vocabulary, the issues of phraseological internationalization require special attention. As for the analysis of phraseological internationalization, the intermediary language may also be involved but the original meaning of a phraseological unit may stay retained. International vocabulary, in comparison with international phraseology, is characterized by a more frequent coincidence of such outward signs as their sounding and writing are. These features are regularly observed at the phraseological level only in borrowed phraseological units as well as in necessary partial material coherence of phraseological internationalisms. Phraseological internationalization is carried out on the facts of interlanguage relevance of phraseological units, which is manifested not only in content but also in form. Five main types of phraseological internationalization have been singled out: 1. Internationalisms with full phonographic similarity (sound and graphics), 2. Internationalisms with partial phonographic similarity (sound and / or graphic), 3. Isomorphic internationalisms, 4. Formal internationalisms, 5. Potential internationalisms.
