dc.description.abstractSocial entrepreneurship is a multifaceted phenomenon, its theoretical foundations are not fully established. Even though the practice of social entrepreneurship is not new, its study began several decades ago. As of today, there is no paradigm for social entrepreneurship. In addition, there are various methods (quantitative and qualitative) that are used in the study of process of social entrepreneurship. Despite the great interest in the field, the scientific research in this area is limited. The number of scientific papers concerning the problems of entrepreneurial activity in the social sphere are small. Existing quantitative research do not give exact results of empirical study for social entrepreneurship. In Georgia there is no official legal term defining social entrepreneurship, nor legal framework and mechanisms. For the development of social entrepreneurship in Georgia it is necessary to: establish the legal basis of social entrepreneurship; encourage private business participation in social entrepreneurship; raise public awareness in this sphere.en_US
