Abstract
The article examines Georgia’s geo-economic integration into global trade networks, with particular attention to the country’s logistical potential, transport infrastructure, free trade agreements, the dynamics of key trading partners, and the impact of global trends. Georgia’s strategic location between Europe and Asia ensures a significant transit role, especially through the Middle Corridor and the use of Black Sea ports (Poti and Batumi). The country’s participation in free trade regimes with the European Union (DCFTA), EFTA, China, Turkey, and other partners promotes export diversification; however, Georgia’s main export directions remain largely dependent on raw materials and low-value-added products. The study identifies Georgia’s geo-economic opportunities while highlighting key challenges: regional security vulnerabilities, insufficient infrastructure integration, the need to improve logistics services, and issues of international competitiveness. The research is based on official data and employs descriptive, comparative, and SWOT analysis methods to assess the country’s positioning within global trade networks.
